TORTOLA SOUTHSIDE HIGHLIGHT TOUR
ROAD TOWN
20-MINUTE DRIVE THROUGH TOWN
This tour begins from our beautiful welcoming cruise ship dock, located in the heart of Road Town on Wickham’s Cay. This historical piece of land is a remnant from the grounds on which our leaders fought for locals in the 1950’s to have the right to work and patronize the area. Today, it’s a beautiful stretch of land that leads from our cruise pier to government offices, banks, the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park and many other attractions. As we pass through Road Town we’ll view various points of interest on our way to Dolphin Discovery.
DOLPHIN DISCOVERY
30-MINUTE STOP
Enjoy watching our playful dolphins! It’s a real treat to watch these friendly guys jump, splash and flip through the waters. We also have an array of exotic South American birds with feathers so colorful and striking even a painter would be impressed. Afterwards we’ll continue our journey traveling on the south side of Tortola to Soper’s Hole.
SOPER’S HOLE
45-MINUTE STOP SOPER’S HOLESoper’s Hole in West End is our next stop; here people can do a little shopping. This location offers a variety of accommodations. Housed in pastel-hued bungalows you’ll find Pusser’s Bar & Restaurant, Harbor Supermarket, Latitude 18 boutique, Serenity Spa, D’best Cup Café and many more establishments. It’s also a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
BOMBA SHACK
30-MINUTE DRIVE TO CANE GARDEN BAY From Soper’s Hole we’ll travel along the north side to the Callwood Rum Distillery for a little culture, history and rum tasting. Prior to arriving at the rum distillery we’ll enjoy a view of the world-famous Bomba Shack, renowned for its 30-plus year history of fun, and sometimes wild full moon parties! Many visitors plan their vacation around our monthly full moons just to participate in this special event.
CALL-WOOD RUM DISTILLERY
30-MINUTE STOP FOR RUM TASTING, HISTORY
Our last stop takes place at the rum distillery in Cane Garden Bay; here you’ll learn a little history with stories dating back to 400 years. This popular attraction is owned and operated by descendants of the slave trade. It operates as a full-fledged distillery making one of our islands’ favorite rums.
30-MINUTE DRIVE BACK TO SHIP
From the rum distillery and beach we make our way back to the capital city of Road Town. We’ll travel upwards and over the mountainous terrain that leads into town. As we enter the city you can opt to stay in town for a little more shopping or I’ll return you to the cruise ship dock. This concludes our tour!
